Visitacion Ave, Visitacion Valley

Visitacion Avenue is one of the main streets in the neighborhood, being the main thoroughfare for muni cars 9X, 9BX and 15. The majority of the street is residential housing, with very little to do with shops and stores. The middle school parking lot is connected to the street along the northwest part of the street. Between Schwerin and Cora can be found the elementary school parking lot and the neighborhood baseball park and playground. The newly renovated swimming pool can also be found on the cross street with Hahn.

However, due to the close proximity to Sunnydale Projects, it is not the safest of streets. My grandma was waiting patiently at the bus stop a couple of years ago when her purse was snatched by several dark-colored men driving by in an oldsmobile. Needless to say, this neighborhood has a reputation for criminal activity, and its namesake street is no exception.
