West 181st St, Washington Heights

There is so much happening here. There’s shopping, there’s food, and there’s a lot of Spanish speaking. This is a heavily Dominican section of town, and most signs are in Spanish. There is wonderful shopping for those looking for cheap unique garments and lots of authentic cuisine. You should DEFINITELY get a chimichanga from the white cart on the corner, it’s there day and night. I enjoy the lively-ness of the street and that there are always people out shopping. There are a lot of families and ethnicities, and it provides a different perspective in what is a more gentrified New York City.
