"Great Place to Shop"
If you love shopping and dining, you will love to be in the area of 57th Street. It has some of the best to offer New Yorkers. One area that really strikes my interest is right around 57th St and 5th Ave. You will find many department stores like Tiffany. The place is worth a visit. You can get there by bus or subway. It would be a good thing to take public transportation to a certain part and then walk from there.
Pros

"Great shopping on 57th Street and 5th Avenue"
57th Street has some of the best shops and dining in the heart of Manhattan. My favorite area of 57th is right along the area of 5th Avenue where West 57th turns into East 57th. This area has some of the best retail shopping including Tiffany & Co., the NBA Store, NIKETOWN, huge Louis Vuitton flagship, Banana Republic, and many many more. It's a fun exciting area, with great places to eat and spend an afternoon. This makes a great destination for a family, couple, or just about anyone. I always have a blast when I visit.

"Show your tourist friends what Midtown looks like"
This street is a great place to go if you live downtown, but have visiting relatives in town. There are plenty of restaurants to take your visitors, and while in the neighborhood they can see a bit of the cliché New York neighborhood that is the Midtown area (though this street is pretty close to the Upper West Side border).

"Carnegie Hall and Central Park"
W 57th St runs from 5th Ave to the Hudson River. One of the main reasons for a New Yorker to visit W 57th St is Carnegie Hall. It is a concert venue, renowned for its beauty and perfect acoustics. W 57th Street is also notable for its art galleries and restaurants. Furthermore, it is just two blocks south of Central Park.

West 57 St
"west 57th street"
West 57th street is a short street in New York and is a pretty idealic place to raise a family. there are lots of working class families in this neighborhoods the homes are all pretty nice and there is a movie theater nearby as well as few restaurants. The road is not in best shape and is not particularly well lit at night so be careful. The yards on the street are all well maintained which makes this a pretty cute neighborhood. Excelllent water views.

"One of New York's Most Famous Streets!"
West 57th Street in New York City is one of the City's most famous and fun streets. I always spend time on 57th Street when I am in New York, especially around Midtown.
In addition to Tiffany & Co. and Bergdorf Goodman on the East side, there's two of the must-see places in New York in Carnegie Hall and the Russian Tea Room to the west. Some of the biggest buildings in Manhattan are here too, including the CBS Building and the Hearst Tower. It's a very photogenic part of the city, and one of the essential streets of New York in my opinion.

"Fantastic, yum yum"
For me the main attraction on this street is Burger Joint. All I can say it was worth it. We went on a friday evening about 6pm and was no problem getting a table. I guess its just luck. Tasty and juicy an even though I asked for well done it wasn't burnt. Its great for a quick snack while shopping in the area. Will return on next visit to NY for sure..
