"Lively street at night"
11th Street is a decent street I’d say because there isn’t much traffic to the street; also because there are a good number of places to eat at, all with different types/styles of food. There was construction happening on this street, and the last time I rode my bike on this street, it was finished. However the re-pavement of the street wasn’t done that well because there were a lot of bumps, or in other words, the whole road was wave-ish which would definitely put a lot of stress on your car suspensions, it did on my bike wheels. There are also one or two hardware stores on 11th Street as well as several automotive businesses to get your car fixed from the bad road (joke). There are also a good amount of nightlife clubs to go to on 11th Street.

"The Hipsters Paradise"
Lots of underground clubs in this area. Mostly secluded from large crowds. Large techno parties exists behind big metal doors as you walk through this almost deserted looking part of town. Lots of loft apartments set up for the hipster crowd. If your not into loud techno music blaring at 3 in the morning then this area is not for you. Trendy cafes, and shopping boutiques are distributed speratically throughout this area of town

"Site of some of the best clubs in San Fransisco, as well as a great restaurant."
Although it's not as well known as some other streets in San Fransisco, 11th street is the site of some of the best clubs in the city, such as the DNA lounge. This place has a cool futuristic-like atmosphere, and good music as well. You are guaranteed a good time if you go here. The only downside the DNA lounge is that they only take cash, not credit cards, so bring plenty.
Nearby the DNA lounge is a venue known as Slim's. Although it isn't decorated spectacularly or anything, it still hosts some great bands like The Fall of troy, and the small size can make attending shows there really fun.
Finally, there is an excellent Mexican restaurant known as Don Ramon's on 11th street. They offer great portions as you might expect, great food, and relatively decent prices (I payed $20 for an appetizer, main dish, and drink).
Overall, don't pass up this street because its got a lot of good places to stop at, even though it isn't that well know.
