"Slightly crammed living quarters"
I had a friend who lived in this neighborhood and while I loved visiting my friend I didn’t care too much for the area that she lived in. Not that it wasn’t a decent place to live it just wasn’t for me. This small street is not a through street so residents do take up most of the parking if not all the parking up and down Alwood Ave. With that said both sides of Alwood Ave. are riddled with apartment complex after complex. Some offer garage parking while most did not. So depending on the time of day you were in the area it could take a few minutes to find any parking at all while most of the time you had parallel park and squeeze into any available opening. I never really saw to many children outside only a handful every once in awhile so I’m assuming many of the residents were singles or couples and families without children. What I did like about the area she lived in was that it was close to grocery stores and a shopping strip that had a theatre, dining and shopping just around the corner on Chapman Ave. and Brookhurst St.
