"Perfect place for friendly neighbors"
Neighborhoods can be hit or miss in terms of safety and engaging neighbor report. Having jumped from city to city throughout my childhood until finally settling permanently in Orange County, I can tell you there are a slew of variations new residents can expect whenever they make a move. Becoming familiar with the neighborhood directly located on Flanner Ave. and its surrounding residential streets happened over the course of three to four years. The pros I noticed immediately about this particular Garden Grove neighborhood were its easy access to major streets like Brookhurst St., Katella Ave and Chapman Ave. while still maintaining the quintessential vibe of a small residential area, intimate, safe and secluded enough to provide an escape from its heavily trafficked surroundings. I found it great for families with children because any time of day you could see families riding their bikes up and down the street, around the block or walking their pets for exercise. Night and weekends never really brought to different of an environment, which I loved. I’ve had experiences where evenings and weekends create a whole different atmosphere for the neighborhood and usually not a good one. Overall I would recommend this area to friends and anyone interested in a low key residential locale.
