"A footbridge"
25th Street Branch is just a pedestrian bridge over FDR that links 25th street to the East River. You can't, obviously, live on a footbridge so there's not much to talk about, but it is nice that they made for access to the river. You can't really walk over FDR because in most places it's more like a freeway than a street.
Once you get across the bridge, you run into a private school started by UN Parents where the curriculum includes studying nine different languages. It's a pretty intense school and it's pretty exclusive from what I understand. Once you get past the school, however, you get to what I believe the footbridge was intended to connect: the East River. There's a really nice walkway along the East River, and yes, it would be a shame if no one from Kip's Bay could actually get to it.
