Garcia Ave
"A little run down"
Forest Hill Extension is home of one of the few gated communities in the city, known as Knockash Hill. Many of the homes in this area are very “Outer Sunset” while others are just down right ugly. Views from all sides of the Hill are incredible, and this is a very quiet neighborhood – great for retirees. Some of the side streets even give you a feel that you are in New England in autumn.
Commercial hotspots in this community are the same as Miraloma Park, but many locals jet over to West Portal as well. The district is also home to St. Brendan School
Some negatives about the neighborhood are a fair amount of run down homes with dead front lawns. There are also some rare architectural designs that just don’t fit in pockets throughout Forest Hill Extension.

Garcia Ave
"A lot of trees"
Garcia Avenue is located near Laguna Honda Boulevard. It is a pretty short street, it starts at Idora Avenue and it ends at Merced Avenue. This street is beautiful because of all the plants. There are trees everywhere and there are also different types of shrubs and bushes. The plants not only add a nature aspect to the street, but it also gives this street a vibe of safety and peace. The plants also benefit the residents because they are receiving fresh air. The houses are decent too, they have a very original look to them and they fit in to the plant scenery very well, they are not too vibrant, but they are noticeable. This place would be great for families, couples, and singles.
