"Nice Views, Ball Game Retail"

This area of the city, along the Embarcadero, is home to AT&T Park, so baseball paraphernalia is prevalent. Right around baseball land, shops are relatively easy to find. I came here once without a jacket in the middle of summer and froze my tail off (surprise! SF gets COLD in the summer), but I quickly found a nearby store that sold jackets.

The neighborhood is right along piers by the bay, which seems to draw in more corporate buildings and headquarters than small mom-and-pop establishments, but it is still a nice walk and is very pedestrian-friendly, despite being a busy street for drivers. Naturally, the public transportation is excellent both within the city and to the neighboring suburbs.

It may not be the most exciting place to live, but it sure is fun to visit!
Pros
  • Nice buildings
  • Great public transportation
  • Beautiful views
Cons
  • Expensive to live in
  • Not much nightlife
  • Ballgame traffic

"Quiet Neighborhood to live."

There are great views here of the beautiful Bay. From King Street, you will reach AT&T Park. Caltrain is thereso transportion isn't a problem. There are a lot of corperate building and newer apartment building. It isn't a very lively street but it is beautiful. I reccomend living there but not going there on your vacation.

"Clean and nice for walks/jogs"

This is the street which houses the AT & T park. Tends to be busy during the baseball games. It also leads to the embarcadero, which has a nice trail for walks/jogs. Very safe neighbourhood and easily accessible by public transportation (MUNI and Caltrains)

"Long Street With A Lot Happening"

From King Street, you will reach AT&T Park. You will also be right up against the Bay, so there are great views to be had for those who live or work on this thoroughfare. Caltrain is also here, so transportation to the South Bay is not a problem. There are some exceptional corporate buildings here and newer lofts for residential living. The whole area is rather industrial, but very beautiful.

"Street that houses AT&T Park!"

King Street is a very short street that is mainly known for one thing: housing AT&T park. The street doesn’t last long as it’s only about 4 blocks, but regardless of whether or not there is a baseball game, this is a busy street. It is a street that has connections to the highway and is very close to the heart of downtown San Francisco so there are always commuters. Public transportation on King Street is ample as there are many links to the ballpark for ballgames.

There are a few restaurants and parking structures on or off of King Street. One of the most known establishments is MoMo’s Restaurant. Located directly across the street from the ballpark, it houses some of the best pre-game and after-game parties with an outdoor grill and a bar. Don’t even consider driving down or around King Street during ballgames though, you will be stuck for hours!
