"Good main drag"
Saratoga Sunnyvale Road serves as a decent main drag with a reasonable amount of traffic. Like the rest of this foothill town, the whole drive is well-manicured and accessible to the lovely mansions nearby. The shopping options include the standards (Safeway, CVS), as well your standard schools, churches and healthcare facilities.
Jack's of Saratoga is a classic bar that almost feels more like it should be in a national park, what with the picnic tables, TV screens and droves of dirty hikers coming in from nearby Castle Rock and Big Basin state parks. The beer is cold, the pizza is excellent, and all of the food is greasy. Other than that, you are better off heading to downtown for fine dining and nightlife.
