South Snoqualmie St
"When Passing By, this Street Name will Catch Your Eye"
South Snoqualmie Street, the name itself seems very much like my Beautiful City, and most definately fitting in well with the state of Washington. It is one of the many residential streets I travel through every day on my way to work, or on my way to the local grocery store, or maybe just on my way to all the natural wonders that surround this area since I only live a few blocks away from it. If you were a stranger to Seatlle and happen to turn upon this street maybe by accident or maybe on your way to the beautiful Mountain View Natural Area for a day of hiking, I know the name would spike your curiousity, so I will enlighten you. It was a coastal tribe of Native Americans from Washington State. In more modern times there are several places in Washington that brandish this name besides the quiet little residential street proudly displaying this title. The city of Snoqualmie, Washington, the Snoqualmie River in Washington, along with our famous Snoqualmie Falls, a large waterfall on the Snoqualmie River, and of course, Snoqualmie Pass, Washington, a mountain pass over the Cascade range in the Snoqualmie Mountains. So if you ever visit someone you might know in Seatlle Washington, you will be able to enlighten them as to the history of this unique street name.
