"Tudor City is The Best Place To Live"
I came to this location a couple of times to see a friend and I must say I admire the view. The place is elevated above the ground. There is a ramp to climb up to the main street on each side. The architecture of the buildings are really old but kept up.
The great thing about it is the place is very close to the United Nations. There really isn't too much dirtiness about the place. There is your typical trash here and there, but not really all that bad.
Most apartments have a doorman, who monitors the apartments and welcomes in people. As for night life, there are a number of bars and restaurants around the corner. Walk a couple of blocks and you arrive at Grand Central Station.

"Five Minutes to Jump on the LIE"
Staying with a friend, this was the one of the best streets I ever lived on! I literally could get on the LIE in about 5 minutes. It is also close to the proverbial 42nd Street which is full bustle! Times Square, Grand Central, etc. If you don't mind a short stroll, you can visit Sushi Yasuda and enjoy a great meal. I would also recommend Convivio, an Italian restaurant worth visiting with delicious food and excellent service. My friend worked at Trump Plaza - she would walk there every morning. There were a lot of retirees living in this neighborhood, so there wasn't much hustle and bustle. And did I mention it is convenient in getting on the LIE?

"Love it here"
Great location. Located in the United Nations area, and near the east river. While the tree lined street is tucked away off to the side, the hustle and bustle of the city is just around the corner. Great bars, great restaurants, great hotels and let's not forget the beautiful and grand tudor homes. I'm a walker so for someone who doesn't mind walking a few blocks West, the Times Square theatre is right there; walk a few blocks South West and there's 34th Street with Madison Square Garden, Macy's and loads of other shopping.
Great street to live on and a great street to visit even if you can only see the outside of these homes.

I said the same thing myself. I have a friend who lives there and when I went to visit her, I was amazed by the way the place was built and the architectural landscape was incredible.
