49th Ave South, Tukwila

At the south end of the Glen Acres golf course, S. 112th St. is a surprisingly quiet neighborhood for a main thoroughfare with a highway onramp. The area is very lush and green, with the north side of the road dense with trees. The homes are small single-family houses, moderately priced for their location to both Glen Acres and the Rainier golf course, arguably one of the best in Seattle. The yards are very well maintained for the most part with flowers and gardens. A bus line runs down the road, providing public transportation to downtown Seattle and Burien. Convenience stores and gas stations mark the end of the road as it either merges onto Hwy 509 or turns into 5th Ave. S. The east end houses a small elementary school, so driving on the road at certain times can be slow-going.
