Beale St
"Lots of Fun in the city"
My husband and I took a trip to Memphis over Labor Day weekend. We had a travel book that highly recommended stopping by Beale St. We had so much fun! There was all sorts of blues music playing. Our favorite place was the very old store A. Schwab. One of the neatest stores we have been to with something for everyone!!

Beale St
"Good place for Blues and Fun"
Beale Street, in the heart of Memphis, is a street full of history, food and fun. If you're looking for a good place to listen to Jazz, then Beale street is the place to be. Also, Beale is located close to the FedEx Forum (where they play basketball) as well as the Gibson guitar factory. Go there during Memphis in May, and the streets are alive with music and people.

Contains restaurants, nightclubs, parks, museums and shopping. The first Blues song was penned here. Beale Street Police Museum, Biking Routes, and the Jack Daniels Distillery just to name a few.

Beale St
"A really fun street, can rival Bourbon Street but different...."
I think it's the law here. You have to go to Beale Street. It's hard to avoid. If music, jazz in particular is your reason for being in Memphis, Beale Street has to be your first stop. W.C. Handy first wrote and performed what was known to be jazz. Beale Street is home to tons of clubs and jazz joints, including B.B. King’s, the 3rd Floor, and Club 152 on Beale. Just watch your purse or wallet. Where there are tons of tourists having a good time and drinking, there are sure to be creeps looking to take advantage.

"Great street with alot of history!"
This is one of the most fun streets in Memphis! It is historical and full of restaraunts, shopping malls, live music ect! It isnt really a residental street practically business! It is very close to the Fed Ex forum where major sporting and music events are held! Hardrock Cafe, BB Kings, and EP's are some great restaraunts to visit! This is a place to go on a friday or saturday night for fun!
