"Great Place to Live"

Clement Street is a great place to live in, especially from 2nd Ave. to 11th Ave. You can find almost anything you need here, and the things here (except for the rent) isn't very expensive. It's close to lots of different bus lines like 1,2,4, 38, and 44. it's only a 15-20 minute bus ride to downtown. At night there are at least 5 or 6 different bars you can go to just around the area from 6th Ave. to 2nd Ave. Some people call it the "Second Chinatown" here, but its not as crowded or dirty as the actual Chinatown in San Francisco. Everything is just really easily accessible. I loved living here!

"great street to visit!"

Clement Street is a very busy street, and very similar to Geary Boulevard, except that the street is physically less wide. There are a wide variety of shops and restaurants that the whole family can enjoy. The street is much busier once you are past Park Presidio. Restaurants range from Thai, Chinese, Ethiopian, Indian, Malaysian, etc. There are also a variety of coffee shops, grocery stores, and dessert places that open until 10 or 11 at night. There is significant nightlife because of all the restaurants, and you will mainly see large groups of friends or family members having dinner together. While there are some corporate stores on this street, Clement is known for its many small businesses, giving patrons more variety in food, clothing, and gifts. There are also some fantastic bookstores that one should look into, such as the Green Apple. They have old paperbacks, new hardcovers, and delightful stationary.

Clement St. is located in the Richmond District. It is pretty busy is most areas of the street. It is full of many businesses and stores. It is generally a pretty safe street. It is close to Presidio Middle School and Roosevelt Middle School. It is also very close to Star of the Sea private school. There are many good restaurants on this street. There is access to a few muni lines like the 44, 2, and 29. This street would be a great place to visit when in the Richmond.

"new china town gives a completely different look to this part of SF"

Clement street between Arguello and park presidio has a completely different feel to it compared to the rest of san francisco. For a certain stretch it almost seems like you are in Asia. Home to an awesome restaurant, Burma Superstar and a even better performance venue, the Rockit room, Celment street has everything you need from Groceries to Restaurants to entertainment venues

"Great Vibe, Awesome Bars"

This is probably the quintessential place to go if you live around this neighborhood. There are so many awesome bars around Clement and 5th. Thurs-Saturday nights are always the busiest, but sometimes Tuesday nights get pretty rowdy, because some bars have trivia nights then. It’s also a great place to find some good Chinese food. This is one of SF’s “Chinatowns” so there are a lot of Chinese people on the street during the day.

"Another street in Chinatown, San Francisco"

Although Clement and Geary are separated by one block, these streets can be seen as opposites depending on which part of the street you have visited. In the Richmond district, Geary is more lively. Chinese restaurants and shops are present; similar to another street in Chinatown. Street lights are present at almost every street corner; if not, a stop sign will substitute it. The 2 Bus line run along this street but does not come as often as the 38 bus line which runs on Geary. Starting off at the northwest corner of San Francisco, Clement runs horizontally; parallel to Geary, but discontinues after encountering Arguello Blvd; perhaps mid San Francisco.

"Busy Street with good resturants"

Clement is a place that I go to a lot becasue of the many Chinese superstores and cheap gorceries. You can buy many things there like fish and fruit, for less amount of money compared to Safeway. You can also go to many Chinese bakeries which serve great, steaming hot buns. Not only are there Chinese cultered places, but there are also many other types of resturants. Besides the food, I wouldnt say there is much entertainment there. The traffic is horrible though, and there is a lot of jaywalkers so watch out. Parking may also be a problem. Not for an inexperienced driver.

"Clement St. - a street full of Asian culture"

Clement Street is considered one of the second Chinatowns in San Francisco besides Irving. The street is lined with many Chinese and Asian restaurants, grocery stores, etc. On every block, you will find either a Chinese food market or a restaurant. Clement is usually crowded with elderly who are buying groceries or take out to eat at home. Also it is hard to find parking on the street because there are many people who double park or take up the parking spaces. There is a good sushi bar to eat at, and also check out the King of Thai restaurant on 4th and Clement which serves delicious Thai food. Also, Toy Boat is a nice ice cream parlor to visit for dessert.

"Great places to eat all day and night"

Clement street is a great place to visit if you want to find true Asian markets in San Francisco. Clement street has many oriental restaurants for locals to come and eat for a celebration. Or for tourist to try cuisine from many places throughout Asia. Not only are there places to eat, but there are parks, recreation centers, medicine shops, etc. the #2 bus line runs along Clement Street day and night for transportation. I don’t recommended raising a family here due to lack of street lights and many cars on the streets day and night. This street is a sight to be seen.

"GREAT STREET WITH LOTS TO DO"

Clement is a great and energetic street. The stretch from arguello to 12th ave is sort of like a mini chinatown. It is is filled with all sorts of variety shops and restaurants. If you are looking for a great place to get dance lessons then clement is your street. A great dance academy is located between 5th and 6th avenues called Genesis dance sport academy. This school is home to Dancing with the Stars own Alec Mazo and Edita Slowinskaya so come on down thhere and get some lessons from them. There is also a Great Kung Fu academy on 7th and clement which I attend called Tat Wong. I can recomend a great mediterranean restaurant on the corner of 5th st. and clement called Troya. You can get around clement street on the number 2 bus which runs from 33rd and clement to the street’s end at arguello. The bus stops roughly every two blocks so It will take you close to any destination on the street but it is roughly a 20 minute wait for the bus to come. The section from 12th ave. to arguello also tends to be very crowded so I dont recomend biking or using any form of manual transportation on the crosswalk. It also tends to be hard to find parking along clement street and if you do find parking it will be on a parking meter which is why I recomend taking public transportation to get there. Over all this is a nice and energetic street to hang around and do some shoping at.

"Little China Town"

Clement is a street, which has a lot of restaurants and variety of different shops. 7th clement has a wonderful sports program of Kung Fu and Kickboxing and is a very good place to attend if you want to get in shape our learn a new sport. Clement has many different activities, which could interest people from with different likes our dislikes. If you like food there’s a whole stack of different cuisines and if like sports there also a lot of different things you kind find on clement. The environment of the street is ok but sometimes there are a lot of civilians that jay walk and sometimes it is very hard to drive by there. There’s a lot of people from a Chinese background who live there and work there.

"A Little Bit of Everything"

Clement is one of those streets that is so eclectic, you never know what to expect when you go. For the most part, Clement is comprised of lots of Asian markets and restaurants. However, there is also the Irish element, a very popular independent bookstore called Green Apple, dive-y bars and lounges, pizza joints, diners and more. It's a fun place to hang out at day or night.

"Clement Street. The Best of Both Worlds. Shopping and Residential."

One of my favorite streets in San Fansisco is Clement Street between Arguello and 27th Street. Clement Street has wonderful Russian Bakeries, Antique Shops, Resturants of all kinds from European to Asian. In addition to shops and resturants, Clement Street has many well kept homes and apartment buildings. Make sur to catch Clement Street on your next visit.

"Very busy street with lots of shopping and eateries in the heart of the Richmond district!"

Clement Street is a very busy and bustling street lying in the heart of the Richmond District only one block away from Geary Boulevard. The street primarily is known for its Asian/Chinese presence as it is largely influenced by the Asian population.

I would not call it necessarily an Asian street as there are various other stores also such as 7-Eleven, Smart and Final, and various other stores. However, if you are looking for Asian orientated shopping or dining, you’ve come to the right place as it is plentiful. Dim Sum and Asian Seafood restaurants run plentiful down the street. If its groceries or produce you are looking for, Clement has lots of it especially seafood markets.

Housing around and on Clement Street is much desired for good reasons. The houses are very pleasant as they are nicely sized San Francisco houses. In addition, they are located to lots of action on Geary and Clement. Traffic around the areas filled with shopping can get pretty bad especially on the weekends, but never really unmanageable.
