"Green Gables Way has a nice variety of homes"
When we first moved to Antelope Hills, the subdivision that Green Gables Way is in, I wished we would have found our home on this street, just for the name. As silly as that sounds, there's just something I love about this street name. The homes along this road are all different looking and different sizes. There is one really pretty brick home that I especially think is very classy looking. While all of these homes back up to the (former) golf course, there are a few of them that back up to the lake on the golf course. They used to have a great view of the green course with the lake and it's water fowl, but since the golf course has been foreclosed on, it's not quite the same pretty green scenery.
Since Green Gables Way is one of the main roads that people take to get around the development there is more traffic on this road than some of the side streets. But overall, the development has so few homes (under 100) that there is no real traffic to speak of. Since there are many kids in the neighborhood, most of the residents are very good at watching their speed.
While there is no shopping or dining here anymore (after the clubhouse and restaurant closed with the golf course) the nearest of either is in the town of Bennett, which is just about five miles away. There are several restaurants, gas stations, fast food, and a King Soopers.
In my opinion as well as state standardized testing, the Bennett School District rates pretty low. They have a lot of turnover in the administration and they have been plagued with problems for years.
