"Single family in the heart of town"
Lincoln Avenue is a street that has several homes on it in the heart of Bennett. There are a few empty fields, and larger backyards than in other subdivisions. Many of the homes are older and it's hit or miss as to whether they are taken care of. This is mostly a sleepy street unless school is starting or getting out as the high school parking lot is at the easternmost end of it.
Just catty-corner to the high school is the best thing about this road - the library. The Bennett branch of the Anythink Library District is a newer building that is really quite nice. Inside there is a lovely fireplace with chairs around it for just relaxing, many computers, a children's section which always has the best activities for kids, and an events room. The staff at this library is probably the best I've personally come across. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and go out of their way to help you regardless of what you need. If you can't find what you need they will get it for you all with a genuine smile on their faces.
