"Charming Brooklyn Heights"
With its tree-lined streets and period wrought-iron balustrades, Brooklyn Heights seems more like New Orleans than it does New York City. The most elegant of Brooklyn's many, myriad neighborhoods, Brooklyn Heights is an upscale district for the family-oriented New Yorker looking to balance proximity to New York's central attractions with a bucolic, peaceful environment - a relative rarity in hustle-and-bustle Manhattan. Yet while peace and quiet is certainly Water Street's strong suit - it looks over a pleasant patch of greenery, leading to stunning river views of Manhattan beyond - it has plenty to offer by means of local amenities for when you're not in the mood to drive across the Brooklyn Bridge. Enjoy a delicious chocolatey treat at Jacques Torres Chocolate or the Amandine Bakery, or dine friendly at Ignacio's pizzeria. If you're looking for an upscale romantic night out, hit The River Cafe, one of the city's most delightful restaurants, with stunning views very nearly matched by a terrific pan-American menu. With a number of galleries, among them the DUMBO arts centre, to choose from, this street is an ideal family nest for an artistically-inclined menage.

Water St
"A great street"
Water Street is in Dumbo, an established artsy neighborhood. It runs under the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. This street is a jewel: It retains the atmosphere of the old warehouses and has a breathtaking view of Manhattan. It borders the Fulton Ferry State-Park: A place for wedding pictures and kid parties. A good place to go for concerts and theater performances is the St. Ann’s warehouse.
P.S.: Dumbo is generally a great place where to live, especially if one has children

Water St
"Artsy in a pseudo way"
I wasn't really impressed with this place at all. I was told I would love it because I am an artist, mostly recording and written. When I got here I sort of liked it until I started seeing those people that feed into the stereotype of artists, you know, a black beret, skinny jeans, and a really twisted view of society. If you like 'jazzcats' espresso shots, and hearing reasons why mainstream is for sellouts, come to this street and enjoy some restaurants. If you are a real artist with an intellect, I suggest sticking closer to Broadway.

Water St
"Best View in New York"
Water Street has to be one of the nicest streets in New York. Whenever I visit here, I find myself looking at the real estate around and considering moving to DUMBO. There is a great restaurant sitting at the edge of the river right under the Brooklyn Bridge called the River Cafe. The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory is right next door and looks over the Fulton Landing which has been featured in many movies. Jacques Torres Chocolate Shop is a great place to head for a rich hot chocolate and then there is the new carousel and St. Ann's Warehouse to tide you over entertainment wise until the summer comes and Brooklyn Bridge Park concerts restart.

Water St
"Nice Quiet Artsy Neighborhood"
There is a Great Artistic community in DUMBO Brooklyn. There is a lovely view of manhattan from the waterfront. There is a vibrant art scene. There is a lovely chocolate shop called Jaques Torres. A favorite place for fashion shoots, Dumbo is beautiful and scenic. Make sure to check out the open studios in the summer.

Water St
"1 Water St."
Who ever thought listen to traffic going over the Brooklyn Bridge would be enjoyable but it is one of the features you find yourself remembering when visiting and dinning on Water St. at the River Cafe.
Seat outside with a drink while looking at the New York skyline.
There are many places to eat while on Water St. however, I can't bring myself to go to any other place.
