"Spacious park to spend the day."
Parks are obvious locations for family and children recreation but sometimes they can be places for quiet time when you’re lucky to find the good ones on a good day. In my search for parks that provide a perfect mix of space for activities and relaxation, I came across Maxwell Park, in Anaheim. Located on Orange Ave., the park sits between South Dale Ave. and South Magnolia Ave. Enclosed by streets lined with homes and townhouses the neighborhood in the surrounding area is quiet, safe and a pleasant accent to the park. Holiday’s and weekends definitely keep the park packed with children, soccer games, family gatherings and birthday parties but the size of the park allows for ample space to find a good spot to spend time. Like any venue, timing is everything as far as securing a barbeque pit, benches and a primo tree to hang the piñatas if that’s something on the agenda. When I’ve visited on weekdays it’s been a great place to park and read in my car or on the grass, have an impromptu picnic with friends or just take a moment to myself to unwind. I love the duality of this park to be become a place for vibrant activity or serene tranquility.
