Wakara Way
"U of U students gateway to the mountains."
Wakara way, named after Chief Wakara, a Native American chief with a Utah history, runs straight through the University of Utah campuss. It is also used by many to access the local canyons such as Red Butte and Emigration. Along Wakara, you'll find businesses, and nearby restaurants. Wakara does not really have any residential parts, however is a main thoroughfare to much student house for Unversity of Utah students.

Wakara Way
"Beautiful Place close the the Mountains"
Nice Drive that connects to the University Dormitories. This Road also offers access to the Red Butte Gardens. The Red Butte Gardens is a beautiful place to visit with your family. You must pay a fee to access the Gardens but the views are spectacular. The Gardens offers may trails to hike with breath taking views of the Salt Lake Valley. In the summer there are concerts held at the Gardens. It is an enjoyable safe area. There are plenty of buses and shuttles. The shuttles are free and will take you to the University of Utah Campus. There is a nice hotel on Wakara Way. It is called the University Hilton. It has a great restaurant and bar inside.
