"Nice park to run some laps"
Located on La Palma Ave. between the corners of Harbor Blvd. and Anaheim Blvd. I feel like La Palma Park definitely more of a sports friendly park than anything else. With it being half stadium and half open lawn there isn’t any playground set like you’d find at a typical park. Glover Stadium is commonly used to hold various high school and jr. high graduation ceremonies as well as countless orange county football games for many of the same schools. I had my high school graduation there and I remember it being a memorable experience. The park also serves as a fair ground during Cinco de Mayo. With rides, games and food to help entertain guests, La Palma Park is a tremendously popular destination during the Cinco de Mayo weekend. The park seems to offer a great location for gatherings and small city events because it’s easy to find and has ample room to accommodate most events. Old school car shows is another favorite hosted at this park. With fast food found nearby all along Harbor Blvd. actually, visitors can take a break from the park when they feel they need it and do a little city walking and find a place to eat with friends.
