"Great Place for peace and quiet."
44th Avenue is a great place to just walk around and "chillax". I know this because I do live on 44th Avenue. Occasionally something "special" happens like recently, I saw a couple of people filming a music video, though it was not a professional set. 44th Avenue leads straight to the Zoo and Golden Gate park. Since it is very quiet, I usually run to the Zoo and back on 44th Avenue. It is also very close to bus stops and is surrounded by grocery stores, churches, and restaurants.
Pros
- Leads directly to the San Francisco Zoo
- Beautiful
Cons
- None

"A very quiet street"
44th Avenue is a quiet residential street. There isn’t much exciting about this except the fact that 44th Avenue leads right to the San Francisco Zoo. If you would like a quiet jog or walk, 44th Avenue is a good choice, because it’s very empty. 44th Avenue passes by some big streets such as California, Clement, Geary, Judah, Taraval, and Noriega. On these streets there are Muni buses that you can take to get to the Downtown District. Ocean Beach is really close which gives 44th Avenue an added plus. The 18 Muni bus is very close as well, because the 18 bus runs on 46th Avenue, so that would be a slight 2 block walk to get there.

"Another typical Richmond/Sunset avenue near the ocean"
44th avenue is a nice street to live on. It runs 6 blocks away from the beach through both the sunset and Richmond districts. Housing styles range slightly within the neighborhoods. Apartments, houses and condos are all available. The most exciting aspect about being on this street is definitely the fact that Ocean Beach is so close. This street is a typical numbered avenue; the houses and neighborhood’s attitude are basically the same in whatever area you are in. This street also crosses big streets with bus lines that can take you almost anywhere in the city, like Judah, Lincoln, Clement, California, Geary, Taraval and more. 44th avenue is a straight shot all the way down, excluding the detour to get through Golden Gate Park which you will need to get onto the Great Highway or 41st avenue to cross the park. 44th avenue also takes you down to the entrance of the San Francisco Zoo.
