"Slow moving due to school traffic"
Parts of S. 144th St. are just average neighborhoods with tons of trees and nice single-family homes. The area around Tukwila International Blvd. offers some fast food restaurants and specialty shops. On the east side of the boulevard, Foster High School and Showalter Middle School dominate the north side with homes and trees along the south side. Daylight hours along this street are slow moving due to student pedestrians. The school population adds to the noise factor in the area, but the west-siders fortunately miss all of that since Tukwila International Blvd. is a pretty heavy thoroughfare for kids to cross. Housing is relatively inexpensive and public transporation is readily available on the boulevard. The access to the highways to and from Seattle is a perk, though some homes suffer the highway traffic noise.
